Every journey begins with a leap you take together.

In 2023, my husband and I left India and landed in America — two people, a handful of suitcases, and a country we’d mostly met through movies. What followed became our favorite chapter: weekend road trips, unfamiliar skylines, and the small thrill of turning a foreign place into ours, one city at a time.

In 2025, our family grew by one — a daughter who made every new horizon feel like it was worth exploring twice. And in 2026, I began my own next adventure: an MBA, a fresh classroom, and the quiet courage it takes to start again.

The Newcomer’s Notebook is where I keep it all — the culture shocks, the milestones, the ordinary magic of building a life from scratch.
